The Shareholders’ Compact signing ceremony for 2026/2027 financial year officially concluded, with the Minister encouraging all entities to embrace innovation and creativity while fostering close collaboration between Councils and Management. The importance of professionalism, collegiality, and constructive engagement in addressing matters was strongly emphasised, alongside maintaining the highest values and standards.
While Dr Refiloe Mabaso has previously attended these engagements in her capacity as Chairperson of the NLSA, the 2026/27 Compact Signing Ceremony marked her first official experience as Chairperson of the Board of SALB.
It was equally encouraging for the CEO to hear from oversight leadership how significantly SALB contributes to national engagements, while continuing to openly highlight the entity’s realities, progress, and developments.
SALB remains proud to have two African women at the helm of the entity’s leadership – a reflection of transformation, resilience, and visionary stewardship. Indeed, many promising milestones still lie ahead.
